I am getting in the groove of the yoga. I was speaking with one gal here who is staying here for 3 months and she is now wondering- what was She thinking! Leaving the Shala, I saw the two children. I just had to stop and talk with them! To find out the scoop!
The taller one is 12, named Ander and his Sanskrit name is Arjuna. The smaller one is Paul- his Sanskrit name is Gopal (the name of baby Krishna). They are from Charlottesville, Maryland. Their father is an anthropology professor and their mother works in the finance dept for a tour agency out of Boston. They were happy to tell me all this stuff. They practice yoga at home 4 times a week and they are with their mom now who does yoga. Their dad was here but he left to get back to his teaching job. Most delightful gentlemen! We had chanting (Mon, Wed, & Fri) today at the main Shala at 11:30 am.
Our first class last night on past life regressions was fascinating and today we will observe as the teacher, Kumar takes one of the students (named Moss) back to a past life. Kumar serves chai tea and cookies mid way thru the class! Weather is perfection here.
